Workshop: Developing Climate-Smart Education Systems and Innovations Based on the Somali Climate Smart Education Systems Initiative.

Jazeera University, Faculty of Agriculture, was part of a two-day high-level workshop organised by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Higher Education. The workshop focused on developing climate-smart education systems and innovations based on the Somali Climate Smart Education Systems Initiative. It discussed seven priorities: policy, data, infrastructure, and curriculum. The discussions highlighted the need to make education climate-resilient, strengthen institutional collaboration, and secure climate-sensitive funding. We also suggested incorporating climate issues into teacher training and curriculum planning.
