Jazeera University’s Faculty of Agriculture Participates in National Agricultural Investment Preparations
The Faculty of Agriculture at Jazeera University recently took part in a high-level preparatory meeting for the upcoming National Food and Agriculture Investment Forum (NAFIS). This crucial gathering aimed to strengthen Somalia’s agricultural production and attract substantial investments from Somali entrepreneurs, with the broader goal of revitalizing the nation’s agricultural economy.
The meeting brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including farmers, agribusiness leaders, financial institutions, universities, and research centers. The forum also garnered interest from international investors, who have officially scheduled the main conference for May 2025.
At the forum, participants will explore research-based insights into the challenges and opportunities within the Somali agricultural sector, setting the stage for transformative investment and development in the years ahead.
