Faculty of Agricultural Science

It is my honor to extend a warm welcome to all of you. We dedicate our faculty to producing high-quality graduate students equipped to tackle the challenges of agricultural science in Somalia.
Our faculty takes enormous pride in offering a curriculum and syllabus that are of the highest quality, with a focus on both the local context and global standards. We tailor our programs to address the unique needs and requirements of Somalia and the surrounding countries. We aim to provide our students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary to contribute to improving the sustainability of the agriculture sector in our country.
Our faculty comprises experienced and dedicated faculty members who are committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service. They bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in various areas of agriculture.
Our faculty also engages in cutting-edge research, innovation, and community outreach activities to stay at the forefront of field advancements and contribute to society's betterment.
In addition to our rigorous academic programs, we also provide opportunities for hands-on learning, internships, and field visits to ensure that our students gain practical experience and develop a deep understanding of real-world challenges in agriculture. We also foster a culture of critical thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurship among our students to prepare them to be leaders and changemakers in their respective fields. The Faculty of Agricultural science also actively engages with the local community and stakeholders in the agriculture sector. We collaborate with government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and other relevant partners to address the challenges facing the agriculture sector in Somalia and contribute to their development through excellent teaching and scientific research.
For this academic year, I encourage all students to take advantage of opportunities. Take advantage of the rich resources, facilities, and support systems that our faculty and university offer. Be proactive, engage in academic and extracurricular activities, seek guidance from your faculty mentors, and collaborate with your fellow students to enhance your learning experience.
